Holiday Magic for Kids
This year we are anxiously preparing for the 21st "Holiday Magic for Kids" outreach to the Homeless children of San Diego. Which will be held on December 17th with doors opening at Noon, at the Golden Hall, Community Concourse , 202 C Street, San Diego.
Our annual Christmas party for needy kids has become a San Diego tradition. Our organization was incorporated as a nonprofit 501c(3) in 1979. It started by giving 25 gifts to random kids living in the streets. Last year this event at Golden Hall Downtown San Diego, drew over 6,000 low-income and homeless children with their families came to the party and received new, wrapped gifts. Miles McPherson opened the event with a blessing followed by the Marine Corps Color Guard. Clowns, face painters, craft and book tables and on-stage entertainment gave them an afternoon of fun and celebration. Moms and Dads had smiles, too, as they walked out with food to prepare for holiday dinners. All in all, a fairy tale come true!
We are always looking for volunteers to help prepare for the event by doing children's book drives or collecting food items needed to give needy families and children. Volunteers needed at Golden Hall the evening before and the morning of the event.

We have two toy, non-perishable food and monetary donation drop off locations which are listed in the donation section below. To the right is a list of needs for this years event .
NEEDS LIST:
- Volunteers!! Number One need !! Volunteers !
- 4000 candy canes
- Wrapping materials, scissors, tape, stickers to mark presents.
- Each gift needs ID. B-6 for Boy, 6 years old; g-12 for girl,
- New Toys. The age range is 0-12. (wrapped if possible)
- Bottled water or snacks for the volunteers Friday & Saturday during wrapping party
- Food to give to the homeless –non-perishable
- Turkeys or Hams!!! We need a turkey or ham to give every family!
